I have "fine tuned" the intro.

Okay... I totally re-did it.

I'm an absolute revisionist---or is that an oxymoron?

But seriously folks, those "final pieces" I mentioned that came to me just as I left Dallas just sort of re-wrote the whole thing.

But this is it---the last time---I swear: the points and concepts will not be changed.

I am pretty excited about it though. Near the end it lacks a bit of cohesion which I will probably adjust over the coming weeks but it finally feels good. Like the right beginning: the right stuff in the right order in the right excerpt. It's what has needed to be said for two years and I hope you all read it. It is, of course, on the home page and is called Offering 1: The Nuts and Bolts.

In fact, here's a link to it.

I have also created an item in the main menu called project history. Check that out if you're so inclined.

Here is a picture from the countryside around Ardmore, OK. My friend Georgia is on the right, and going left, our friends Louise, who owns the pyramid shaped house in the background, and her Grand children Dallas and Kortney.

[img_assist|nid=165|title=Louise's pyramid, Louise, and her minions|desc=|link=url,http://|align=center|width=576|height=432]

I was told by Georgia that Louise essentially conceived and designed the house because of the health properties associated with the ancient shape.

Once again Georgia is the person who runs the Mercy House where I recovered from my ankle issue. She is wonderfully caring and giving and was of incalculable help.

Incidentally, I've been back on the road for a while now and the ol' ankle is performing just fine. It is a little tough going for now. I fell a ways out of routine and some of the integrity of my callouses and tissues has dipped below par. This is sort of compounded by the heat, but it's no big deal.

I have ben trying to put the rest of my route on here but the computer I've been using does not work with the appropriate google program.

I think I've told you since it's gotten so hot I'm going to go up to Wichita Kansas. Additionally, I'm going to bisect Kansas city, Des Moines, Davenport, and since I like to go through large metropolitan areas I'm gonna stroll on over to Chicago and then level off for New York. What the heck. You only walk across the country once... I think... unless you're Peace pilgrim. Besides, who knows? Perhaps I have a date with fate in Chicago.

Ain't gonna be no more long stops though.

Every day is accounted for now in order to get to NYC via the windy city before Christmas.

Well, I'll see you all later.

Or you'll see me some sooner.

Or something. -fellow human

Heh Ted, 7/17/08
It was good meeting you. I enjoyed our conversation on highway 81 north of Southhaven Kansas, you are one focussed and driven individual. Great cause, We all need to do our part to make the world a better place. Solar, wind, geothermal, alternative energy. This is America, the greatest contry in the world and we're Americans. Lets stop funding foreign hatred towards us by buying their oil and come up with solutions. That's another great thing about Americans, we might complain for awhile but then we say "enough is enough" and we do something about it, and we don't have to wait for the government. I believe that's what is happening, inovation and technology, we live in an awesome time right now. God bless you dude, rock on! Sterling
