Why, your fellow human, of course.
A coast to coast walk Across America and a website, both designed to connect with you and our other fellow humans. The walk is essentially a backpacking trip through all environments from wild to urban, desert to mountain, hot to cold with accommodations secured only through what is in my pack, and such kindness as strangers might afford me. The website is an attempt to foster conversation and greater overall understanding concerning the deepest factors that ultimately define the human condition, and thus the quality of our lives and future.
The walk started in Santa Monica on Nov. 26th, 2007 and is projected to end at the World Trade Center site on Dec. 20th, 2008.

From Santa Monica, CA to The World Trade Center site in New York. It is my intention to arrive, around 3:00pm, at the Tribute WTC Visitor Center which is at 120 Liberty Street on the southern corner of the overall site (between Greenwich and Church Streets, on the south side of Ground Zero, next to FDNY Firehouse Engine 10 Ladder 10). I will then make a clockwise circuit, as the absence of obstacles allow, around the overall site from Liberty st. to West st. to Barclay st. to Church st, garnering interest and ultimately return to the Tribute Center to shoot a little video and say a few words to those that are interested, or simply the video camera itself.

Because I love my country and human beings, and am instilled with a sense of responsibility which calls me to try in my own way to contribute to the welfare of those very parties. In relation to this I see an approach to the troubling issues of our time that is largely unnoticed. This approach is the popular pursuit of greater self awareness and I want to at once bring this concept to the attention of others, attempt to explain it as I see it, and incite discussion about it.
